We arrived after 4pm and found the campsite her which is under a bridge. There was probably about 20 vans here alongside the river which people were swimming in. Looked good to me! We decided to stay 2 nights here as we had long drives on the previous days and it seemed a good place to have a day lazing. People were friendly and eager to share about the drive to Lawn Hill. We had been going to leave the van and go for the day but decided to take the van in for at least 3 nights as there was a lot to see and the road was not too bad. So we enjoyed our day with odd jobs and relaxing which included swimming in the river. Or should I say floating down the river with a noodle in a moderate current. It was a nice warm 30 deg but with no humidity and cooler 18 deg at night just good for sleeping.

Reading in the evening, notice the reclining chairs. Very comfortable  I must say. They may even come home!
