The camp at Hull heads is alongside the coastguard buildings right on the beach. It was quite windy and we ate inside and had an early night wanting to get going early. The town of Innisfail was a stop to buy a CB radio. We had thought for awhile about this and on talking to quite a few people decided we should. It could also be an emergency tool in the out back areas where there was no phone coverage but the main reason for one is the road trains which we would encounter inland. The drive leaving Innisfail was interesting throughout the Misty Mountains. It could have been in NZ and sure enough the rain and fog came in as we were expecting.

| Our visibility in fog was about 30 meters. |
