Some people say out back driving is boring and yes it is long distances but the landscape does change in subtle ways. The long straight roads are the hardest to cope with but we do share the driving and have our music to keep us going.
We arrived in Coober Pedy the Opal Capitol of the world and first went to the Post Office to collect Lloyds bank card which thankfully had arrived. It was then off to a opal museum which was underground as much of the attractions are. Actually 50% of the residents live in" dugouts " which is the name for underground homes as the temperature stays a constant 24 deg in all seasons.
