Some of may know that Lloyd worked for Rolls Royce many years ago in Saudi Arabia and so when he saw a Silver Shadow 1970s Rolls in the carport here where we are staying he was interested about it, it obviously didn't go!
Rob the owner said he'd bought it from Hong Kong a few years ago and it wouldn't go now and if Lloyd could get it going ,well he'd pay him to do so as of course you don't find many Rolls Royce technicians here in Darwin.
Lloyd couldn't help himself but to look at it and discovered it needed a carburettor kit. This had to come from Perth so we have been waiting a couple of days for it to arrive.

Thats Lloyds legs sticking out!The temperature is slowly getting hotter and so everyday it is nice to be able to have a swim. We visited the nearby Howard Springs nature Reserve which had said that there was a swimming hole. However this was now contaminated by bats so closed and even though the area was lovely there was only a paddling area. So we then found a public swimming pool which did the trick of cooling us off! |
