Horizontal Waterfalls Oct 10 The flight Scenery!

We booked this about a month ago and we had an early morning pick up outside the caravan park at 5.30am on Friday morning.
There are only 2 waterfalls in the world that run horizontally and both of them are in Talbot Bay which is a 1 1/2 flight north east from Broome. The extremely high 10 -11 metre tides mean vast amounts of water come through a small opening creating a drop of up to 5 metres.
There were 12 of us on the sea plane and as it gets light at 5.20am we were on our way flying  by 6.30am.The scenery was amazing! Here a few of our many shots.
They took you up the coast to Cape Leveque which has very red rock cliffs and then across the King Sound to Talbot Bay where they have 2 house boats and pontoons.

The landscape was spectacular
The landing was very exciting and you go on the pontoons where they then take you out in a large inflatable to the horizontal falls. The tides meant one of  the falls was over 2 metres when we went so we could only go through one and returned later to do the other once the tide had turned.

This is where the red sand meets the white sand at the Cape.
One of the many islands
