Broome and Staircase to Moon

Sorry for the delay but we have not had any service for a week.
Any ways....... one of the reasons we wanted to be in Broome at this time was to see the unusual moon  reflections which happens at only full moon and at low tide in this area. The reflection looks as though there is a staircase going up to the moon.
The Mangoes Resort is in a great location for you to see this and they have a huge lawn area and bar so it seemed a great place to watch this. We arrived about 5pm and got a great table, ordered drinks and dinner and waited for darkness to arrive. As there were only 2 of us we shared the table with 2 delightful older ladies from Perth and so had a good chat.
The moon rise was at 6.40pm and unfortunately there was a lot of cloud so it seemed to take forever until it appeared and by then the moon was too high to get the right reflection. They have a didgeridoo playing as the moon rises and they cut all the lights to make it more dramatic.
Evidently it is a bit late in the year to get the best staircase to the moon but it was still a great experience and atmosphere.
Our photo is  not quite up to standard but it was fun any way.
